Dear ex,
It’s the same thing over and over, you constantly give me false hope that we could have a future. We both know that’s not in your plan. You broke my heart trying to mend your own. You tore me down trying to build yourself up, and I was the one to apologise. You now act as if we never happened, but our roots will always be tangled. I am grateful things did not go the way I once wanted them to. You wasted my time and didn’t appreciate me but I still stuck around. I thought this was love but it was just another one of your games. You didn’t realize you loved me until I was long gone and much happier. Your loss.
