Memories made, lessons learned

Hey Tam,

I’m writing this letter to say thank you for some really great memories and to say some things I should have said to you while we were together.

I’m not going to apologise for anything any more as I have apologised for my past mistakes many times before and reduced myself to a grovelling mess after we parted. what I would like to do though is thank you from the bottom of my heart for some of the times we shared together and the memories I can keep forever. I’m certain at times it may have seemed as though I took you for granted, please believe me that there was never a moment I didn’t cherish.

I loved the way we could sit on the couch and talk for hours, I loved cooking with you after work, I loved listening to music all night with you,I loved your smile, your laugh, the way we would hold hands when we walked together, your quirky mannerisms, the silly sayings and jokes we used to make, the stupid games we used to play in the shower, our amazing intimacy…anyway you get the point.

After all the initial hurt and anger and emotions subsided , I had a chance to really reflect and appreciate all those little memories.

I can only hope that in the future when the time is right, I will find that same connection with somebody else.but for now my main focus is on myself.
