Petty

Your petty ignorance astounds me

Your long and prattling warbling

In judgement you were much too quick

At first it sent me spinning

But then I stopped and touched our past

With delicate attentions

And realized there was not much there

Despite our best intentions

Now reevaluate your thoughts

And make sure you look closely

Because I did and all I saw

Was your opinionated boasting

At first I didn’t notice it

I was so warped in your cocoon

But cracks I found in my condition

Led me to this boon:

If all you have to say is this

That I am cheap and have no heart

Then I can only counter with

I could have told you from the start.
