Dear Ex, 

For all the times you made me doubt that I was not enough. Thank you for making me realize I am enough. 

For all the times I received messages from other girls and for all the times you made me question the truth. I was blind but now I see. So thank you for helping me open my eyes. 

For the times you made me turn on my family and choose you. Thank you because I now know they were right and I will never make that mistake again. 

For all the manipulation and you accusing me of having insecurities. Thank you for making me realize my self worth and that I deserve better than you. 

For all the things you required and rules you made that were one sided and never allowed me to contribute. Thank you for helping me realise that I deserve someone who’s going to fulfil my requires as well.

You broke my heart in pieces. You were cold and unapologetic. You still don’t take any ownership to anything and the sad thing is.. I don’t think you ever will. 

So thank you for showing me the strength that I never thought I had. Thank you for teaching me that if something doesn’t bring peace or happiness in my life that I can walk away, that I can let go. 

Thank you for the lessons. Thank you for making me realize I deserve so much more and that I am so much more.
