Dear ex,
It’s been over a year since our last fight, since you asked for your ring back, and since I moved back home. At first, it didn’t phase me. At first, I felt fine because ultimately it was MY decision to leave. But we promised we would work on us, and be together again. The day before my birthday, your bestfriend called me and said the worst things I’ve ever heard in my life, and he’s to blame for us not working out. However, I just wanted to say that I’m happy for you now. Wherever you are, whatever you’re doing, I’m happy for you. I now live in a different state, with my amazing boyfriend, and were expecting a baby in 6 months! I still think about you. I still remember your face when I said I was leaving; still remember your face when I pulled out of the driveway we once shared, and had bbq’s and parties on. It haunts me. But I can’t let it. I just want to apologize for all the pain I caused you and your family those last few months, none of you deserved it. I hope you can find peace with my decision, and find peace within yourself. I hope you can forgive me, and I hope you find the love you deserve. I hope one day we run into each other, and we can be civil – with smiles, and no hard feelings.
