To ‘the guy’

I have a lot to say since the day you left me. I know you might not want to hear this, but please just hear me out. One last time.

For me, what we had was unforgettable. You left all these traces all over my heart and memory and I can never, ever forget you. We will go our separate ways in life and maybe our paths will never cross again. But just so you know, you will always be in the back of my head.

I won’t forget the words that you said to me and how you made me feel. You made me feel special, like I was the only one who mattered to you. We talked and laughed and in that moment my life felt like it was complete. Like you were the missing piece all along. But maybe we weren’t actually meant to be. If we were, we wouldn’t be where we are now.

Maybe you found somebody new already. I know you can do that easily. You’ll make her fall for you the same way you did with me. You’ll talk to her everyday and make her feel loved. You’ll compliment her and watch her with that look on your face. That look of admiral and love. Maybe she would be the one for you. She will be the reason you smile and laugh again and she will make you the happiest guy on earth. I probably won’t know her personally, but if she makes you genuinely happy I believe she’s a really good person.

I wish you nothing but the best with her. I hope she makes you way more happier than I did and if she does, please take good care of her. Compliment her, play songs on your guitar for her and just make her feel like she’s the only girl in the world. You will complete her life like what you did to me and she will complete your life too. You both will share so many wonderful memories that you’ll remember your whole life.

I’m sorry if I ever hurt you or say things I didn’t mean. I’m sorry if I was a burden to you made you feel bad. I did say words that I didn’t mean. I never wanted to hurt you and I want you to know that I will always love you, as a friend. And I hope you do too.

Just promise me one thing. That you will not forget me. Maybe you won’t remember all the memories and what we had but please, just please. It’s enough for me that you remember me as a friend. I hope you will be the happiest you’ve been in your life and I’m glad that I was a part of it.
