It took me quit

It took me quite some time to get over you just leaving me, even though I knew it was going to happen. I thank you though, from the bottom of my heart. You taught me to let myself feel again. In a few short months I opened up to a complete stranger and felt my heart skip a beat again. Im sorry though, I feel In love with the idea of having someone, but not in love with you. You have kids, a house, and a job; that’s what i was in love with. A man that seemed to have it all together, a man that boasted to his friends about me, that replied fast and called often. We had nothing in common though, but I tried my damnedest to impress you and knew I’d fall short. I was far from what you wanted appearance wise and even farther from what you wanted emotionally. We both knew that. I also knew I had to let you go I just wasn’t ready for you to disappear. If I could tell you one last thing and know you’d listen it’s this; “You are an amazing person, and an even more amazing dad. You act dark but you have a light that could blind a person, you’re strong and independent and need a person just thats just the same. You know how to make someone feel beyond special and like they can defeat the world. Stay positive, even when it’s hard, because you are good enough and I hope in the future you’ll at least reach out to me if not just to say hello. Thank you King Soul.”
