Dear D,

A few days ago I realized it had been 21 years since the last time we spoke. You should not still be on my mind but you linger no matter how I try.
They say you never forget you’re first love and I don’t think you do. I know I never said it but if the situation had turned out differently I might have. To this day I am still confused over the happenings between us.
We both moved on and did not let it hold us back. At least there was some good to come out of it. I just wish it had not ended the way it did.
